MLPA — Process Area Extraction
MLPA extracts coherent process areas from object-centric event data using multilevel resource detection. A process area groups the object types, activities, and resource object types that belong together, helping analysts divide large object-centric processes into meaningful scopes.
The public implementation imports OCEL 2.0 SQLite data through OCPA and exposes the mlpaDiscovery() algorithm. Source code and installation instructions are available in the multi-level-resource-detection repository.
The method is presented in Process Area Extraction by Multilevel Resource Detection for Object-Centric Process Mining.
