Custom-Bike Production with Sustainability Data

Description

This synthetic object-centric event log models the production and delivery of custom-configured bikes. It was created as the illustrative example for the paper Object-Centric Process Mining for Semi-Automated and Multi-Perspective Sustainability Analyses, published at ICT4S 2025, pp. 143–152.

The example combines process data with sustainability information so that environmental impacts can be assigned to events and allocated to the objects involved in production.

Structure of the OCEL

The log contains 15 events and 15 objects. Its object types are:

  • Bike, Frame, Wheels, and Gears for the manufactured product and its components;
  • Order for the customer order; and
  • Truck, Dryer, Packer, and Spray. Inst. for resources involved in production and delivery.

Event types cover order registration and configuration, item picking, frame painting, bike assembly, packing, payment, and outgoing delivery. Typed event and object attributes provide the data needed for multi-perspective sustainability analysis.
